Dear Mike,

Good point. We've used webcams for protests like in Times Square but I'm starting to check for surveillance cams more. There are a couple of parking garages that would be great for banner drops but there are cams. Here's a good quote on liberty: "If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear."
peace, peter

I hate that everywhere I go anymore there are cameras there. It doesn't make me feel safer at all, just spied upon. Great editorial there.

Cameras certainly act as a deterrent to crime. What are your thoughts on that?

Agreed. The one purpose camera's do serve is that if we record the violence, we can get rid of the students causing it, something we don't have a PRAYER of due to NCLB without the footage.

By your logic, cameras in banks do NOTHING to deter robberies but rather just record them... will you extend your logic to that situation? I'd be curious to hear your answer.

Should cameras be anywhere?

(btw: you said "the one purpose camera's do serve is that if we record the violence"

why did you put an apostrophe in "camera's"? Did you take your grammar lessons from George W. Bush? Hahahahah).
